Why should I attend Metropolitan Institute of Health & Technology?

At MIHT our students will benefit from a hands-on training program from a real dental office. Students will be taught using the latest in dental equipment, procedures, and audio-visual aids.  Students will enjoy and learn extensively the hands-on experience of working with an experienced professional in their line of work.  Our classes are limited to accept a minimum number of students so our students can get the deserved attention from their instructor during the learning of the course. Upon completion of our course our students will be trained and be able to handle working in the field and will be prepared to pass the license exam for their course of study.

At MIHT classes are held in the evenings and are just 10 weeks in length.  This enables our students to keep their current jobs and still have time to complete the course to start their new exciting profession.

We also offer course assistance to our students.  We understand that students sometimes can need extra assistance in understanding the material.  That is why our instructors are available and provide open hours to assist our students.

Is Metropolitan Institute of Health & Technology certified?

Most states have laws requiring that career colleges and technical schools be licensed or certified to offer instructional courses and programs. If a school has a license or certificate to operate, it means it has gone through a process to make sure that it meets certain standards. Some states do not require certain schools to be licensed or certified to operate legally in the state.  However the state of Virginia requires career colleges and technical schools to be certified to operate.

What are the requirements for admission?  

Students will be required to complete the admissions application form for the course, which will include application fee. Upon completion and review of the application form students will be required to complete an interview session with the admissions staff, upon which time they will be informed about their acceptance or denial into the program. Students are required to conduct an interview session to evaluate their motivation and potential for getting accepted into the institute.

Students are required to have received a high school diploma or its equivalent for admission into the school.

Yes, visit the school. While you are at the school, get a copy of the school catalog and take some time to look at the equipment and facilities to see if they are similar to equipment that you will be using on the job. 

Does the school offer job placement assistance?
 

Yes, MIHT offers job placement assistance. 

Faculty and administration would provide complete assistance to students in preparing resume, cover letter and job interview requirements. Faculty would provide complete job assistance to students. Faculty would provide internet posting of resume and contact local area Dentist for job placement.  Our instructors and staff are working professionals in the dental field. They can tell you about jobs and career potential from their own experience.

How much will you pay for the program or training?

Is financial assistance or student aid available?

MIHT participates with Care Credit to offer enrolling students financing options for tuition.  Also ask about MIHT’s Financial Assistance Program.   

Will you have to sign an enrollment contract?

Yes, MIHT requires its students to sign an enrollment agreement.  A copy of the agreement is available for students to review before signing it.
